Mini-mix
The schäfer-technic MINI-MIX machines are designed for fast and effective road repair and road maintenance.
The patented machine produces cold asphalt mixes in different grading curves, slurry seal, grave emulsion, storage cold mix asphalt, coloured cold mix asphalt.
With the used dosing control you produce a consistent and homogenous mix quality for direct installation (in situ). The machine is suitable for manual installation and qualified for installation with distribution box.
Via the new innovative operating- and controlling-system the mixer can be driven at the back into any position and distribute the mixture directly into the damaged area. The MINI-MIX has a mixing capacity of 40 kg/min for manual installation and up to 300 kg/min for the mechanical installation.
Depending on the requirements, the machine is designed as a trailer- or as a truck mounted version.

1. Mixing process
All components are dosed computer-controlled accordingly to calibration values and supplied into the continuous mixer. There are two types of mixers, first for manual installation (capacity about 25 - 80 kg/min and second for mechanical mounting with distribution box (capacity 40 - 300 kg/min). The formulation of the asphalt mix may be changed any time depending on the situation.
2. Installation of the asphalt mix
Manual installation
The mix is installed and smoothed with squeegee directly in the damaged area. Due to the ongoing mixing process always new mix is produced. This simplifies installation and avoids an unmixing.
Mechanical installation
The mix is supplied directly via pivoting mixer into the distribution box. In the distribution box is an agitator in order to keep the mix in motion and to prevent unmixing. The distribution box is controlled by a hydraulic steering system in accordance with the requirements.
