PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
BIG JOHN truck mounted tree spades have been used by nurseries, landscapers, and the tree moving professional since 1983 and has set the standard for tree moving equipment. It’s built to withstand rigorous tree moving conditions; from B & B operations, to on-site, high volume jobs. It’s a fully contained, operator friendly, one-person system.
TRUCK REQUIREMENS & SPECIFICATIONS
The most popular trucks for this application are the Ford F-450 & F-550 4×4 with automatic transmission.
Be aware of the location of fuel cells. Some 1-Ton (907 kg) chassis trucks have a fuel cell aft of the rear axle. This cell interferes with the mounting of the tree spade and must be replaced.
Trucks with automatic transmission require special application wet kits that require an up-charge.
